Ensure continuous operation of Dish Broadcast Center services and provide exemplary customer support to all internal and external customers

Perform periodic walk-through inspections to check the health of all Earth Station Operations systems and equipment

Conduct periodic cleaning and maintenance of all ESO equipment, including antenna systems, transmitters, frequency converters, redundancy switching units, and antenna control equipment

Construct and install waveguide assemblies, cables, and fiber-optic systems

Install, calibrate, clean, configure, troubleshoot and repair High Power Amplifiers and Variable Phase Combiners (VPCs)

Install electronic components using high reliability soldering techniques

Terminate cables using proper tools and techniques

Use appropriate test equipment, proper procedures, and sound technical skills to assess a variety of RF equipment using the following types of test equipment (not all inclusive): Spectrum Analyzer, signal generator, multimeter, fiber-optic test set, scalar network analyzers and RF detection equipment

Use monitor and control systems to investigate issues and trend data on the health of Earth Station equipment

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal and safety regulations

Generate and complete purchase orders, shipping documents, shift log entries, maintenance tickets, and other maintenance documentation

Receive training and maintain progress with department on-the-job training program

Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronics systems

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:

3-9+ years of progressively related experience; High School Diploma/GED, or vocational education preferred

Skills and Requirements:

US citizenship or Permanent Legal Resident status

Must have completed a basic electronic course from an accredited technical school, university or Military technical school

Ability to lift 75 pounds

Ability to work at heights of up to 75 feet, climb vertical ladders up to 30 feet

Must have a valid state-issued Driver’s Licenses

Shift work required - must be able to productively work in a fast paced 24x7x365 environment and on any shift - Days, Swings, Overnights. Occasional overtime is required

Ability to promote a positive environment, demonstrate respect, clarify expectations, and keep commitments

Ability to communicate system/equipment issues and provide updated statuses of system/equipment problems

Ability to approach work with energy and determination

Proven team player with strong customer service orientation

Adaptability: Deals with ambiguity and adapts to uncertain or unexpected high-pressure situations in a calm and rational manner

Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as operating manuals, instructions, procedures, and technical drawings

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Experience with computers and computer software programs such as MS Excel and Word and Google Applications

Ability to safely and properly use hand/power tools

Ability to use a two-way radio for site communications

Ability to characterize and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw meaningful conclusions
