Full Time Maintenance Technician

Compensation: $20-$28/hour | 40 hours per week | 1099 Contract Position | Flagstaff, AZ

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and appearance of our apartment communities by performing repairs and preventative maintenance. Your work will cover 5 buildings in the greater Flagstaff area, and you will work alongside our property management team to help ensure quality customer service to our tenants. Key Responsibilities:

-Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.

-Communicate daily with property managers, and maintenance supervisors.

-Conduct routine inspections of apartment units and common areas to identify potential repairs.

-Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances to extend their lifespan.

-Complete general repairs, including drywall patching, painting, and fixture replacements.

-Diagnose and fix plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, and appliance issues.

-Assist with unit turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to prepare apartments for new tenants.

-Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and supplies used.

-Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.

-General Landscaping, Groundskeeping

-Snow shoveling in Winter

-General Tidiness of Property, Trash Pickup

-Occasionally Tour Units to Prospective Tenants

Qualifications:

-Proven experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

-Basic carpentry and painting skills.

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and repair manuals.

-Strong problem-solving and customer service skills to interact professionally with residents.

-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

-Previous experience in multi-family property maintenance.

-Knowledge of building codes and safety procedures.

-Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus).

-HVAC skills are a plus, but not a requirement.
