Any new team member joining our family will be expected to cross train in the following positions:
JUICER + FOOD PREP POSITIONS
The juicer and food prep positions at Local Juicery are the heart of our restaurant - and VERY important positions! You bring life to our shop and health to our community. It's important that you have a knack for multitasking and cleanliness. You will be cross-trained in our prep and middle house station where we make waffles, toasts, and yummy oatmeal bowls. We are family-owned and operated and would love to meet you if you feel you're a great fit for our team!
SMOOTHIE BARISTA POSITION
A smoothie barista at Local Juicery is an exciting, fast paced, and fun job. It’s high energy and people facing. In this position, we expect our Baristas to give out-of-this-world customer service! You’ll be supported to learn all the smoothies, bowls, and tonics and become well educated on super-foods and all our juice and product benefits. You will need to speak intelligently about our retail products and supplements. Each item you make should be perfectly flavor balanced and delicious (we'll teach you!). You’ll make this happen by following our recipes and taste testing everything. Our clients come to us for so much more than the food and juice. Taking your time to connect and get to know visitors is of the utmost importance. You’ll need to maintain the energy level of the store with positivity while taking care of quality and general store cleanliness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Passion for the Local Juicery brand and enthusiasm for learning more
-Available to work a minimum of 25 hours/week AND a minimum of 3 days. Also, the flexibility to cover shifts for coworkers when emergencies arise.
-This job requires frequently lifting up to 60 pounds and walking/carrying things. It also requires standing for long periods, bending over, reaching and scooping, using heavy equipment, as well as various other physical prep tasks.
-Ready to learn, dive in with an amazing attitude, and deliver amazing products to our community!
-Cultivate a strong knowledge of all Local Juicery products behind the counter and on the retail shelves.
-Ability to receive and inventory orders, check-in produce, place produce inventory and keep quality control.
-Work with your team and manager to handle any conflicts, always striving to speak up in support of yourself, the business and the team.
-Smiling and bringing positive energy into the store.
-Working well with other team members
-Follow all policies, procedures, recipes, health codes, and safety regulations.
-Learn to operate all necessary equipment
- Keep a clean and thoughtful workspace throughout your shift
-Finish change over or closing list before clocking out
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
-A passion for food, people, and health
-1-2 years working in a food establishment (preferred)
- Food prep or kitchen experience is a plus but not required
-Someone who cares deeply about helping people heal with food!
