Through BHN, known nationally as an innovative leader in new health care models, insurance plans and physicians are coming together to work collaboratively to keep members in optimal health, while reducing costs.POSITION SUMMARYThis position listens to medical and financial leaders, utilizes curiosity and rigor while investigating underlying problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data. This position executes and improves the process of refining data into information in order to present findings that are both informative and directional. This position requires experience in data driven discussions and quantifying cause and effect relationships in the pursuit of better medical outcomes with less expense.CORE FUNCTIONS

Provides accurate and timely management and regulatory reports by accessing information from a variety of sources and utilizing consistent reporting formats and clear presentations to support executive leadership decisions and medical program support. This position develops strong knowledge of the assigned medical market to provide financial proformas and program efficacy presentations.

Provides higher level support for key Medical Economics processes within assigned area or region, identifies and reports on the success of operating improvements, and identifies medical and financial trends or irregularities.

Guides processes to implement changes through analysis of medical claims, prior authorizations, laboratory results, EMR and other data elements. They present ongoing financial indicators and education programs based on the needs of assigned business unit(s).

Works on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Proven advanced analytical and modeling skills are necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequires a bachelors’ degree in Math, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.Experience in healthcare financial management with a proficiency level typically attained from at least two to four years of experience in the field.Strong technical skills in software for data analysis; specifically, data extraction and manipulation (e.g. SAS, Teradata, R) and data visualization (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).PREFERRED EXPERIENCECertifications or accreditations, Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
