IA Airplane Mechanic
Position: Seasonal Aircraft Mechanic
Aircraft: 2 Cessna 206 Floatplanes
Location:Homer, Alaska
Season: Summer 2025 (May 15- September 15, 2025)
We’re looking for a talented IA Airplane Mechanic to join our team in beautiful Homer, Alaska.
About Us:
Our company operates two Cessna 206 floatplanes, providing unforgettable experiences in the heart of Alaska. We pride ourselves on safety, reliability, and top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform & sign off 100 hr & 50 hr inspections, repairs, and maintenance on Cessna 206 aircraft in accordance with FAA Part 135 regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and independently.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Schedule is “on call” as maintenance dictates usually 10-20hrs/week
Qualifications:
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license with an Inspection Authorization (IA).
- Experience with Cessna 206s preferred.
- Must provide own tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors on a dock in various weather conditions
- Ability to create, manage and track a maintenance schedule
- Passion for aviation and a commitment to safety.
