Starting Wage: $20 an hour

Hours: 40 hrs/wk, this is an hourly position. Schedule requires evening and/or weekend work. Overtime may be required.

Under the general direction of designated lead person, a Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring that every customer that enters the store or contacts the brewery by phone or e-mail is treated professionally with the utmost quality of service. The Retail Associate will be assigned to work at our Tasting Room located in Lemon Creek.

This position could be filled with either full-time or part-time availability.

Responsibilities:

Meet and greet customers in retail locations.

Actively engage customers in the merchandise buying process.

Operate retail cash register/POS system.

May be required to pour samples at hospitality bar. Required to diligently monitor liquor age requirements, customer consumption, and address issues that arise.

May be required to give guided tastings regularly with knowledge of the brewing process.

All Retail Associate’s must understand Alaskan beer products and brewery “story”.

Maintains retail area appearance. Daily janitorial duties are expected including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and cleaning, stocking restrooms with supplies, and other janitorial duties as assigned.

Must become knowledgeable about the merchandise in all retail stores.

Assist with keeping merchandise stocked, clean and organized.

Assist with folding and tagging.

May assist with merchandise receiving, folding and tagging.

May assist with inventory counts.

Must keep busy and be working at all times.

May be required to fill in other areas of production or administration.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate well with other people, both orally and in writing.

Physical ability to stack 40-pound cases to a height of seven feet and to lift kegs weighing up to 160 lbs.

Ability to perform repetitive lifting, building product displays and merchandising store.

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Cash handling skills.

Ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.

Moderate computer skills using word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

TAPS and Food Service card must be acquired within 30 days of starting. (Training provided).
