Part-Time Admin Assistant - Government Affairs

Private government affairs office in downtown Juneau seeks part-time administrative assistant to support small business owner during the legislative session. Provide confidential, advanced level, part-time administrative support including, but not limited to scheduling executive level meetings, managing MS Outlook calendar, assisting with preparation of draft correspondence, ordering supplies, maintaining electronic and paper files, and other administrative duties as assigned. This position will provide front desk service including, but not limited to answering phones, greeting and interacting with clients, and maintaining a professional office space. This position may be required to monitor legislative committee activity, write brief reports/synopses, manage proprietary online legislative tracking system, and maintain confidential analyses of legislative and administrative policy proposals. This is not an IT position, but familiarity with MS Office a must. Perfect fit for a graduate student, seasonal worker, retiree, or primary school parent. Pay $25/hr, approx. 20 hrs/wk, approx. 3-4 months; start date week of Jan. 20. Email resume with cover letter, three references preferred.
