Seeking Compliance Manager experienced in seafood processing.

The Compliance Manager (CM’s) primary responsibility will be to ensure company compliance with applicable Federal, State, Local laws, and audit requirements. The (CM) will manage, develop, implement, facilitate, train, and follow up on all compliance needs throughout the company. The CM will support and report directly to the owners. This is a full time, permanent position.

Supervise staff and communicate with the team in a respectful manner

Work in an environment with long hours, extreme weather, equipment (noise), and chemical exposure

Handle high levels of stress & remain calm under pressure

Multi-task

Pass a background check & drug test

Attention to detail and organized

Partner with production team through confidence, communication, and team building

Acts with honesty and integrity

Quick problem-solving skills

Safety oriented

Comfortable adjusting quickly in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in English, both verbal and written

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Certificates in HACCP and TSA (or the ability to obtain post-employment)

Driver’s license with clean driving record

The CM’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Complying with applicable Federal, State, and local compliance requirements.

(USDC, OSHA, ADEC, AKOSH, FDA)

Managing company compliancy.

Conducting pre and post audit analysis.

Analyzing, writing, and facilitating corrective action plans.

Performing weekly document reviews.

Performing weekly walk throughs of plant to assess, respond, and report all workplace hazards with action plans.

Planning regular meetings to ensure current compliant needs are being met.

Reviewing and documenting equipment maintenance for sanitation.

Developing & conducting Compliance Training.

Preparing documentation for Compliance Audits.

Creating and maintaining audit document binders with regulations, action plans, and audit/permit expectations.

Managing daily GMP / Safety policies in real time.

Managing HACCP plan creation, application & maintenance.

Managing staff to HACCP protocols.

Managing all Master Log reviews weekly.

Observing daily cleaning and sanitation procedures, identifying, and implementing corrections, if needed.

Periodic auditing of all labeling for traceability and accuracy.

Leading by example in attendance, attitude, work ethic, and safety expectations.

Communicating with all AGS Management and the Production Staff.

Maintaining all logs to ensure proper tracking for audits.

Managing and documenting labeling and storage for hazardous chemicals and PPE.

Monitoring equipment and production areas, partner with maintenance for timely repairs.

Assisting in the training of all production employees to Federal, State, and Local expectations.

Managing other duties as identified and assigned.

Education/Experience:

College Graduate preferred, with a background in Biology/Math Sciences or equivalent work history

1+ years minimum experience in Seafood Industry preferred

1+ years minimum experience in a QA/Safety/Environmental Management Position preferred

Prior lab work preferred

Proven experience demonstrating Critical/Cognitive Thinking

Proven knowledge of Federal/State/Local regulations and applying them in a plant production setting

Acute knowledge of plant production processes

Acute knowledge of environmental cause and effect in a plant production setting
