We are currently recruiting for positions to support the Niblack Mine on the Prince of Wales Island. Job Summary:

This is an entry level position performing work as a core sawyer for an exploration mining site. This critical position is responsible for the cutting, labeling and shipping of core for off-site analysis. Position requires detail-oriented, safety minded, work on feet for extended periods of time, able to work on a computer and able to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks. Prior mining experience a huge plus.

The position is seasonal working 12-hour shifts, Monday-Sunday, 84 hours weekly and scheduled approximately

3-8 weeks on and typically 3 weeks off.

Transportation to and from site is provided from Ketchikan, Alaska. The employee is responsible for arranging

their own travel to Ketchikan, AK.

Room and board provided on a barge at the work site during the time-on period.

This is position requires successfully passing both a background and drug screening to qualify and will be

subject to any post-accident and/or reasonable suspicion testing throughout employment.

Must be US Citizen.

Some of What You Will Do:

Assist geologists as needed (including geotechnical tasks: preparation and visual analysis of drill core and

recording footages)

Performing specific gravity testing

Store and label the core boxes for later access

Sawing of rock samples and preparation of sample shipments to send to analytical laboratory for assay

Cleaning the equipment and area between samples to prevent cross contamination

Numbering the sample bags sent to lab and ensuring the sample sequence is correct

Enter all sample details into computer database

Ensuring quality control throughout the sampling process

Other duties as assigned

Some of What You will bring:

One year prior experience in mining or construction industry

Core Cutting

High school diploma or equivalent

MSHA (Mine Safety & Health Association) underground training, required or must obtain prior to departure.

Demonstrate ability to utilize supplies, tools and equipment properly

Hazardous Materials training, preferred

First Aid Level 1, preferred

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, and will be subject to any post-accident and/or reasonable

suspicion testing throughout employment.
