Location: Juneau, AK (Kiosk in Downtown Juneau)
Start Date: May 2025
Work Hours: Full-Time; Seasonal; Aligned to Cruise Schedule
Pay: $23 per hour + 10% of all sales during your shift

ABOUT THE RETAIL SPACE
This season, Barnacle will operate a kiosk in downtown Juneau. This is a great opportunity for Barnacle to share our products with visitors and send them home with locally made products that showcase the flavors of Alaska. With over 1.6 million cruise ship passengers expected this summer, we will be in the heart of the action.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Retail Manager, you’ll oversee the operation of our downtown kiosk, selling Barnacle items and sharing our brand story.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Scheduling & Coordination
-Create a weekly schedule based on the schedule of cruise ships in port
-Coordinate shifts with one other employee that you will manage
Sales & Customer Engagement
-In coordination with Barnacle leadership, set sales goals
-Greet customers with a warm, welcoming attitude
-Actively engage passersby to introduce them to our products and drive sales
-Educate visitors about Barnacle Foods products and the brand story
-Offer and prepare passive samples to encourage purchases
-Handle customer inquiries and provide product recommendations
Brand Representation & Customer Interaction
-Provide excellent customer service
-Be a friendly, knowledgeable ambassador for Barnacle Foods
-Share information about Barnacle’s products and brand with customers
Inventory & Product Management
-Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure stock is available
-Restock and organize products as needed
-Track best-selling items and adjust inventory accordingly
Lead Your Team
Manage one or more part-time cashiers/sales associates who will work alongside you
Provide coaching and feedback, and set an excellent example
Cash Handling & Sales Reporting
-Process transactions accurately and handle cash/card payments
-Summarize daily sales data and report to the team
-Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory changes
Facility Management
-Ensure the kiosk is clean, organized, and presentable
-Follow food safety and hygiene standards when handling samples
-Secure and lock up the kiosk at the end of the day
-Identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns

Must have a car or reliable transport and a driver's license with a clean driving record

Must be able to stand for the duration of a shift and lift 30-pound boxes
