Medical Assistant - JOB DESCRIPTION, but not limited to:
· Rooming patients and collecting/recording vital information
· Updating patient's medical records.
· Triaging phone calls and taking messages.
· Processing new patient referrals
· Perform routine clinical tasks to support assigned provider(s)
· Preparing patient information in advance for clinic appointments.
· Communicate with providers regarding patient care concerns.
· Scanning and filing patient information into practice management and electronic medical record software.
· Answer phones, respond to voicemails, and use the EMR to enter messages into the patient’s chart.
· Prepare electronic health records for the physician, including making sure all necessary records are accounted for before the visit (labs/radiology/testing)
· Maintain supplies, equipment, and stock exam rooms practice HIPAA & OSHA compliance and safety standards
· Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times
· Triage and room the patients
· Perform nasal swab Covid-19 testing
· Safely administering injections to patients
· Perform EKG and X-rays
· Check-in and registration support as needed
· Run machines and set up and break down testing sites
· Collection support (Interact with patients to confirm identity and obtain consent, ensure specimens are associated with the relevant patient, and ensure a sanitary environment through collection support)
· Perform miscellaneous job duties as requested.
