Program Summary
Resurrection Lutheran Church Safe Space for Schooling Program (RLC SSS Program) is a no-charge (funded under an Juneau Community Foundation (JCF Grant) drop-in program for students (1st grade to 12th grade) who need school space with:
Internet access schoolwork help
breakfast and lunch clean and safe environment
The RLC SSS Program operates:
Monday to Friday
Wednesday closed
7:30 to 3:30
Primary Responsibilities
Operate RLC SSS Program with other staff members.
Welcome, care for, protect, and manage students in the RLC SSS Program.
Follow RLC SSS Program COVID-19 Mitigation Plan.
Assist students with technology usage.
Tutor students.
Provide food services to students.
Follow our Student Service Guiding Principles:
Have common courtesy. Seriously.
Be courteous and respectful to Students of all stature and ages.
Go above and beyond to exceed Student expectations.
Provide immediate service recovery. Our highest priority is Student satisfaction.
Make it worth the Students’ time to be in the RLC SSS Program.
Seek out Student contact. Be happy – make eye contact and smile!
Greet and welcome every Student. Spread the spirit of hospitality. It’s contagious!
Project a positive image and energy. Exhibit appropriate body language.
Thank every Student.
Develop and nurture our public image and community relationships.
Other tasks and duties, as assigned.
Other Requirements
Minimum GED diploma or equivalent, and experience commensurate with requirements of the position.
Current food handler cards (will provided, if needed).
Ability to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.
