JOB DESCRIPTION
- Control pedestrian flow in Downtown Juneau by using STOP paddles, a whistle, hand gestures, and voice commands.
- Gear will be assigned to include reflective clothing and a 2-way radio to maintain communication with the team.
- Remain alert at all times and avoid multi-tasking. The use of personal cell phones is expressly prohibited and grounds for termination.
- Be punctual for all assigned shifts. If this is not something you can commit to doing, please do not apply.

PAID TRAINING
All Juneau Welcome Guards will be provided with access to the Alaska Department of Transportation's Public Facilities Flagger Training Class before beginning their initial shifts. Successful completion is required before starting work to ensure all staff are well-versed in all required safety measures and procedural protocols.
