We are hiring for two key members of our Finance team. These positions will work closely with all finance team staff members as well as staff from our Southeast Senior Services team to support our grant accounting process.
Duties:
Update and maintain Grant Listing
Manage and maintain digital grant files
Prepare monthly billings and back-up
Compile fiscal reports for submission to granting agencies with Staff Accountant direction
Assist AR in reconciliation of grant and contract deposits
Monitor grant spending and balances
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced skills in time management, attention to detail, and organization.
Ability to analyze account information to identify discrepancies & inaccuracies in data and make corrections.
Ability to interact & proficiently communicate with senior management, staff, funders, and community partners.
Knowledge of general, fund, and non-profit accepted accounting theories, principles, methods, practices, and terminology is preferred.
Ability to interpret and apply rules, policies, and procedures which govern state and federal grants is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as experience with accounting software.
Qualification
A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position or an Associate’s/Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a closely related field.
Position Details
Full-time, overtime eligible. 37.5 hours/week.
Starting wage $20-25/hour DOE
Due to the nature of this position work will be mostly from the office. However, we offer some flexibility for occasional work from home.
