A Carpenter Foreman is an experienced construction worker in Carpentry's craft and is charged with organizing a particular project's overall construction. A Foreman exercises control over the construction crew, and is the project manager’s “keystone” of their construction projects.
Role is Accountable for:
Layout work and organize work crews. Directly lead tasks and ensure crew members are accomplishing tasks correctly and on time.
Reviewing plans for new projects, completing material take-offs for and communicating daily material requests to Purchasing for ordering.
Monitoring delivery schedules of daily materials to confirm arrival at the work site to ensure uninterrupted work flow
Receiving materials and verifying quantities are adequate per work plan
Maintaining on-site materials and resources in an orderly manner
Assigning daily work tasks to journeymen and apprentices
Ensuring man-hours meet labor targets.
Providing feedback to the Superintendent and PM on the performance of field personnel.
Submitting detailed and accurate daily reports
Completing redline drawings on a daily basis to ensure updated drawings are available at the work site.
Coordinating work to be performed with General Contractor and other Sub Contractors and reporting to the Project Manager any project or schedule conflicts or potential changes.
Ensuring work performed conforms to work plans, specifications and industry standards.
Planning for the receiving and installation of prefabricated component sections
Ensuring work is performed safely and professionally in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Conducting safety meetings and tool box talks.
Training and development of identified team members into progressively more responsible team roles.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or Project Manager
