Overview: As a service writer at National Automotive and Marine, you'll be the point of contact between our skilled technicians and our valued customers. You will help customers navigate their vehicle repair needs with clarity and honesty, while providing exceptional customer service. From start to finish, service writers ensure both seamless customer service and technician efficiency.
Qualifications: Having previous experience in an automotive shop, service writing, and customer service is ideal. You must be self-motivated, honest, dependable, and conscientious. Strong communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
-Greet customers, assess their vehicle needs, and provide detailed service estimates
-Communicate effectively with customers regarding work estimate costs, service updates, delays and final costs
-Maintain accurate records of service estimates and invoices, ensuring accuracy in pricing and services rendered
-Recommend additional services and products when appropriate
-Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs and maintenance work efficiently
-Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions and comments to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
-Ensure a clean, organized and friendly environment for customers and team members
