Providing administrative support to CUC and GHU
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Utility by performing operational technologies functions, application support, and training operations.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to configure, install and maintain workstation hardware, operating systems, applications, and perform workstation troubleshooting and upgrading.
Understands both Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Windows based PC’s, VM’s, and network architectures and how to support these technologies.
Ability to support process and control systems within Operations, collaborating with Engineering, IT, Operations, and vendor resources
Monitor user applications and network systems.
Ability to monitor and maintain SCADA systems scheme
Competent in the operation and maintenance of IBM compatible computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
o Windows OS
o MS Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication, including documentation standards
Ability to establish and maintain strong, effective team relationships with multiple organizational levels across manufacturing sites and corporate entities
Education and Training
Bachelor of Science (required), Electrical Engineering (preferred)
Experience supporting controls, networks, infrastructure, and security systems
Experience in developing PLC and HMI solutions
Experience with controls power distribution layouts, panel layouts, hardware specification
Exposed to normal office environment. The work involves some walking and occasional lifting to approximate a 40-pound box. Position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week (normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) with hours in excess of 40 per week as needed. Travel may be required.
Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug test. Preference will be given to applicants residing in Alaska.
