This role primarily focuses on selling at trade shows across Alaska and beyond, requiring extensive travel, long hours, and a “whatever it takes” mentality. When not at trade shows, you will work as a manufacturing associate in our Fairbanks facility, producing and packaging our award-winning teas, honeys, hot cocoas, and other products.

Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, camp during travel, and handle setup/teardown of trade show booths.

This is a salaried position offering $43,888 annually, with the opportunity to enjoy all the free tea you can drink and work with a supportive team in an established Alaskan company. Key Responsibilities

Trade Show Sales (Primary Focus)

Represent Sipping Streams at trade shows and events across Alaska and potentially nationwide, selling teas, honeys, hot cocoas, and other products directly to customers.

Set up and tear down trade show booths, ensuring professional and engaging displays.

Engage with attendees, promote products, and drive sales through outstanding interpersonal skills and product knowledge.

Travel extensively, including camping or staying in varied accommodations, to attend trade shows.

Work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet event schedules and sales goals.

Collaborate with local brands and communities to enhance brand visibility through promotions and events.

Maintain client relationships, conduct outreach to inactive clients, and introduce new programs/resources.

Manufacturing Associate Duties (When Not at Trade Shows)

Fill, label, and package teas, honeys, hot cocoas, and other products with precision and attention to detail.

Print labels, box items for orders, and prepare shipments to customers.

Maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure efficiency and high-quality output.

Assist with website maintenance, client billing, and new client onboarding processes.

Support tea artisans with tasks in the tea house as needed.

Operate communication channels between the company and clients, ensuring concierge-level service for wholesale clients.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities

Great hand-eye coordination for repetitive production tasks without errors.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to varied tasks, from trade show sales to manufacturing.

Comfort with physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and booth setup/teardown.

Organizational skills to maintain a clean workspace and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Effective problem-solving, creative thinking, and willingness to contribute innovative ideas.

Ability to take direction and handle constructive criticism.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and handle multiple projects.

Technical Skills (or Willingness to Learn)

Shopify, Google Drive (Docs, Sheets), QuickBooks, Trello.

Basic website maintenance and client billing processes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Current Alaska Food Workers Card (obtained within the first week of employment).

Availability to work flexible schedules, including opening or closing shifts, with a minimum of 5 days per week when not traveling.

Must be able to pass Universti-tea certification within 6 months.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
