The Inside Satellite Specialist advises customers about various consumer satellite Internet solutions and options depending on their needs, takes orders, enter orders on the appropriate supplier websites, prepares shipments to installers and customers, receives, inventories, and stores incoming shipments, helps installers and customers with technical support, takes shipments to appropriate carriers or arranges for pick-up, tracks order progress on the appropriate websites and through telephone contact with customers and installers, closes the orders and submits the required paperwork. The specialist will develop advertising programs using co-op funds, return defective or damaged equipment for credit and recommend and configure supplemental network equipment such as routers and bridges for customers. Other jobs as assigned.
Skills needed: Ability to deal with people in a friendly, patient, and efficient manner, attention to detail, ability to lift 50 pounds, organization skills, initiative, and follow-through to project completion, flexibility in priorities, and willingness to help keep office and storage areas organized. Other helpful abilities: Basic computer networking, ability to track and push through several projects at once, familiarity with PDF editor software, Microsoft Word/Excel, or comparable software
Military experience welcomed, especially in a technical field
