Satellite Communications Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Small Fairbanks company that provides satellite internet service to residential and business customers statewide looking for a few good people. Ability to multitask and work in an extremely high paced environment a necessity. Office environment with some warehouse time assembling shipments of systems.
IT experience is a bonus but, related tech knowledge such as gaming, website building, etc. would show ability to understand satellite communications. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF editor or comparable software.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, receive equipment, inventory, store and repack for installers to send to customers. There are many additional small tasks that are part of other jobs as assigned and are not limited to the above. As a small business, each team member cross trains to assist other staff during peak cycles.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to deal with people in a friendly, patient & efficient manner in a high stress environment. Attention to detail is a must as well as organizational skills and initiative to follow multiple tasks through to completion. Working geographic knowledge of the state and communities within. Cultural awareness of small town, rural and village life to communicate with potential and current customers.
Military experience welcome, especially in a technical field
PAY
DOE Regular work hours 8:00am – 5:00pm Mon-Fri but can be adjusted.
