Alaska Fuel Distributors is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative for our Fairbanks, Alaska location. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for customer account setups and the managing proprietary fuel cards and Cardlock access. A key function is responding quickly and accurately to customer set up requests and account maintenance in various platforms, along with coordinating and distributing pertinent information as needed. As the Customer Service Representative, you would be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with professional and courteous service in regards to Cardlock fuel access, inquires/complaints, and other activities involved in managing the relationship with our customers. Excellent customer service skills are a must. In this role the Customer Service Representative will also be responsible for entering, updating, and verifying key pricing components on a daily basis. This individual must be highly organized and able to work with a variety of departments and branches in order to fulfill the job requirements
Job Description
Facilitate customer account and location setups, and maintain master customer files
Work with various business units to maintain accurate and current customer information
Provide timely, accurate response to customer inquiries and requests, and be proactive in problem solving to ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor reports and update time-sensitive records on a daily basis
Prepare and provide sales/transaction details to customers as requested
Act as liaison to other branches for resolution of day-to-day administrative customer issues
Program and manage all proprietary fuel cards
Administer card lock access
Work in conjunction with Operations, AR and Billing to resolve customer issues
Analyze the effectiveness of current processes; recommend changes based on findings
Other duties and data entry functions as required
Requirements
High School diploma or GED equivalent, with basic accounting knowledge
Accounts receivable and payment application knowledge
2 years or more of Customer Service experience
Ability to examine, develop and implement new strategies to meet customers' needs
Ability to liaise with both Operations and Accounting
Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments
Solid negotiation, conflict resolution skills
Excellent teamwork and team building skills
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporations, business partners, and customers
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
Working Conditions
On call is required on a shared basis
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
Overtime as required
