Interior Alaska Roofing, Inc. is a thriving commercial and residential roofing company performing work in multiple states. We are looking for a great team player to join our staff as a Full Time Shop Mechanic and Shop Assistant role. Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record.
A Class A CDL is required.

Qualified Applicants will:
-Have an aptitude for and experience with maintenance and mechanics
-Clean record to allow for military installation access
-Be familiar with the construction industry
-Perform duties with diligence and quality
-Work well with others and follow directions from upper management
-Either has a current forklift certification or experience with forklifts
We are looking for a positive, dedicated person to join our team!
Shop Assistant duties include but not limited to:
-Keep the shop clean and organized
-Repair tools, equipment, and trucks, to include reg. maint. of fluids/filters, etc
-Operate a brake to bend metal to specifications provided
-Inventory tools and equipment
-Attend in-house training for shop and job sites
-Change water filters as schedule and general facility Maintenance
-Expedite for jobs
-Mobilize tools and materials to projects, some require CDL A
-Demob tools and materials from job sites, which includes helping with Jobsite wide clean-up. Once tools and materials are brought back to the shop, everything gets put back to its designated area.
-Offload materials from delivery trucks, log into inventory and put away, or put in the loadout area.
-Be willing to train on the sheet metal equipment and help out as needed, fabricate metal flashing.
-Pull material/tools from inventory and put in the loadout area to be delivered to projects.
-In the winter, plow snow and shovel sidewalks
-Be willing to help out at a job site for short term if needed, ie: clean up, operate equipment to load materials, etc.

Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screen. The company has a zero-tolerance policy for drug use.
Pay is DOE an hour. We are looking for applicants that can work overtime as required.
