Lead Water Technician (Fairbanks)

Alaskan family-owned Construction/Restoration Company serving Alaska communities for 49 years, is currently seeking Fairbanks based Lead Water Technician.

What we do

We are a construction/restoration company that restores homes & commercial properties after disasters such as fire, wind, earthquake and water and mold damage. We also do home improvement, residential and commercial remodels, additions and many other services. We occasionally work in rural locations in Alaska as needed.

We offer emergency services 24 hours per day. Our employees work on a rotation schedule for after-hours but could be called in when not on call for larger emergencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform disaster response, emergency mitigation, water extraction, structural drying, and demolition to include removal of drywall, flooring, insulation, etc., following IICRC standards.

Set dehumidifiers, fans, air scrubbers, and other equipment at the work site, ensuring proper set up and removal.

Moving of contents/ furniture in order to access mitigation areas

Perform moisture mapping and loss documentation.

Participate in our 24 hour on call rotation, responding to emergency losses after hours and on weekends as needed. Overtime for this position is required, but is not guaranteed.

Drive company vehicles.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements

IICRC certification preferred, but not required.

Must be hardworking, honest, dependable and neat in appearance.

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and lead technicians.

Ability to work well as a team as well as independently.

Current driver license with no more than 3 driving infractions in the last 3 years.

Willingness to cross-train with the cleaning and construction departments.

Reliable, insured transportation at your disposal. Due to the on-call rotation, public transportation will not suffice. You may be called out in the middle of the night. We must respond quickly in an emergency.

Ability to lift and move 75+ pounds, multiple times per day.

Must pass post-offer drug screen (heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine)

Must pass post-offer background screening. Due to insurance contract requirements, candidates with felony convictions will not be considered.

Compensation / Benefits

Hourly wage based on skills/knowledge base.
