Provide sound educational leadership to students; lead all aspects of the Toddler classroom (an early learning environment for children ages 15 mo - 30 mo), including set-up, organization, maintenance, safety; facilitate snack, lunch, recess, and nap times according to schedule; take responsibility for materials/lesson preparation, cleaning/organizing classroom, diapering/toilet training; exhibit classroom management skills including gentle redirection according to the Montessori philosophy (training provided); promote the mission of Spruce Tree Montessori School; perform job duties as stated in full job description, available upon request.
Job Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
Interest in Montessori education and training (onboarding and orientation provided)
Experience in a classroom with children, 2 years minimum preferred
Experience with classroom set-up and materials organization or equivalent
Excellent customer service and parent relationship skills
Proficient knowledge of technology for lesson planning, record keeping, and parent communication
Efficient time management skills
Team-oriented demeanor; ability to be flexible
Ability to work full-time (not less than 40 hours per week), during the school year (August - June), with some overtime necessary to accommodate operational needs, for classroom preparation, for presence at staff and team meetings, school events/activities, and attendance at community events for public relations.
Job Type: Full-time; Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
Pay: $40,000.00 - $47,500 per year, DOE
