The Northern Nights Campground RV Park & Cabins is 3/10 of a mile west of the intersection of the Glenn Highway (Highway 1) and Richardson Highway (Highway 4). We are the first RV Park that travelers will encounter on Highway #1 west of the Richardson Highway #4. We will be celebrating our 32 nd year of operation and are known for our family friendly campground/RV Park. We are open (weather permitting) May 15-September 30.
We offer 24 RV sites; 5 tent sites; and 2 duplex-style log cabins with shared bathroom facilities. Our RV sites are wooded with picnic tables, fire-rings, 30 AMP electric, and water with at-site sewer hook-up for five (5) back-in sites; a main sewer dump station; bathhouse, restrooms and free WIFI. The National Park Service Visitor’s Center for the Wrangell St. Elias National Park & Preserve (the largest in North America) is just a 10 minute drive from our location along with World famous salmon fishing on the Klutina River and Gulkana Rivers as well as the Copper River and Chitina River!
We are searching for an experienced host team (couples or singles) who are willing to commit to 40 hours a week (each) with occasional overtime to assist the owners in the operation of this Campground/ RV Park. We desire workers who are seeking an Alaskan adventure and who have an entrepreneurial spirit. In particular workers with “front” office experience who excel at customer service; who interact with the public in a professional manner and who are well organized with a positive attitude are our criteria.
The “back” office duties include light maintenance such as minor carpentry, painting, and electrical, plumbing and emergency repairs. This also entails performing the daily housekeeping of the restrooms; shower house; cabins; and grounds clean-up. Also assisting in the seasonal opening and closing of the facilities.
We offer a competitive compensation package of an hourly wage plus overtime pay. We provide an RV site with full hook-ups.
