Job Description
Company is seeking applicants to install residential and commercial grid-tied PV systems. In this position, the installer will provide support to the crew lead of the installation team, communicate job status to operations management, and ensure the completion of the installation of all solar arrays / systems. It is the responsibility of every installer to ensure safe work practices for the installation team.
Responsibilities
Safety assessment / hazard analysis (site specific) for each installation
Fall protection training preferred
Confined Space training preferred
Pulling inventory for each installation job
Pre-assemble job components for system
Layout and assembly of solar racking
Mechanical / structural mounting of racking materials
Document completion of completed installation
Clean-up of job site
Additional duties as required
Qualifications
Carpentry or roofing experience required! 3-5 years preferred
Solar industry experience preferred
Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work in extreme environments
Must be willing / able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time
Basic computer skills
High school diploma or GED
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent customer service skills required
Ability to work well with other in a collaborative team environment
Must have a valid state driver's license
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment physical
Commercial construction experience preferred
Compensation and Terms
Position is seasonal, full-time, based in Anchorage, Alaska
