These are 2 available positions: Position: Equipment Operator
This is not a training position.
Majority of work revolves around excavators (up to a Cat 330) and dozers (D5 and D6).
Must be:
Able to dig and follow grade using an excavator.
Final grade terrain using a dozer (including tight areas).
Efficient in moving dirt.
Ability to work around trees, piles, and slopes without damaging machinery.
Ability to safely work around burn piles when clearing land.
Again, you must be highly skilled in operating. This is NOT a training position, or for individuals who do not have significant hours in operating heavy machinery. Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
This is currently on an as-needed basis (part time), as the season will be in full swing around April.
Seeking a heavy equipment mechanic experienced with diesel engines, hydraulics, pins/bushings/undercarriage, welding, and electrical troubleshooting.
Must be able to diagnose and perform repairs in the field.
Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues prior to ordering parts.
Prefer that mechanic has most of his own tools, but many general and specialty tools will be available if needed.
Will need to be well rounded to maintain a growing fleet of over 30 large and small machines - including excavators, dozers, skid steers, trailers, trucks, wheel loaders, compactors, screen plant, and other equipment.
