Position Overview:
Glacier Plumbing and Heating is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial plumbing and residential service, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves performing a variety of plumbing tasks in residential and commercial settings, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Project sites may vary and include rural Alaska, Anchorage, Eagle River and the Mat-Su Valley.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform repair and maintenance, or installation of new plumbing and heating systems
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on each job
Receive and perform service calls
Track materials required for quoted jobs and scheduled Maintenance
Communicate updates to customers and project managers
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Occupational Health and Safety Act and State of Alaska
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Comply with service standards, work instructions, customers’ requirements, and Uniform Plumbing Code
Occasional out of town travel to project sites
Requirements:
Alaska Journeyman Plumber License
Valid Driver’s License
3 + years of plumbing experience
In-field technician experience
Understanding of advanced principles of plumbing and heating
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
