A&P Mechanics perform routine and non-routine maintenance on Company aircraft and aircraft components in a competent and effective manner. They use experience to diagnose problems, determine solutions, and complete work, with or without supervision. Lynden Air Cargo is a US part 121 all-cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska. Lynden Air Cargo conducts operations within Alaska as well as other locations around the world, utilizing its fleet of L382 Hercules aircraft. Our A&P Mechanics can gateway at their home base - LAC has approved gateway cities throughout the lower 48 states and will provide transportation to and from your worksite. REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be a US citizen or provide proof of right to work in the US

Must pass pre-employment FAA DOT drug test and participate in random drug testing

Must possess a valid driver’s license

Must possess a current US Passport or have the ability to obtain US passport

TSA required fingerprint check for Criminal History Records Check

Must be able to travel to domestic and international locations without restrictions, including foreign military bases

FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings

Must be able to provide your own tools

Must be able to work any shift SALARY RANGE

LAC may recognize prior experience when hiring and place an employee in the progression scale at a rate above the minimum (start) level. LAC holds previous military experience in high regard for initial placement on the step scale.Premiums, Qualification Based (added to base wage)

For each FAA Airman Certificate rating (Airframe or Powerplant) or FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License – max. of two (2) $2.70

For each ASE rating – max of two (2) $1.35

For Line Pay (on aircraft touch labor.) $2.25

For Engine Runup & Taxi authorization / endorsement $3.15

For RII authorization / endorsement

TRAVEL Up to six months out of the year.
