Job Description

VBM Alaska is seeking an energetic and highly motivated candidate for the position of Copier/MFP/Printer Field Service Technician to support the needs of our Copier/MFP/Printer Clients. This is an amazing career opportunity for a young person wanting to start a career-style job. We are open to consider candidates with no experience in copiers and provide training if you have the aptitude, professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities Include:

Performing new hardware installation and upgrades.

Providing technical support and customer service via email, remote, phone, and on-site for the Sharp and Okidata printers/copiers and MFPs we sell and support.

Providing mechanical and electrical repairs to office equipment.

Providing Key Operator training on basic copier functions

Installing and configuring Printer/Scanner drivers

Troubleshooting FAX issues.

Successful candidates should possess the following qualifications/experience:

Demonstrable troubleshooting skills in a similar industry

Experience with working on equipment and skill with electrical and mechanical tools

Basic knowledge of using Windows computers is very helpful

Excellent Communication skills in person with professional customers

Experience dealing with vendor support to deal with software, firmware, and hardware issues

Attention to detail

Ability to multi-task in a fast moving environment

Ability to work individually or as part of a team
