Lumber & Materials Sales Associate

Our Anchorage branch is looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Lumber & Materials Sales Associate to join our team. If you have experience in sales and a passion for the construction industry, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers in selecting lumber and building materials to meet their project needs.
Provide product recommendations, pricing information, and technical guidance.
Process sales transactions and manage customer orders accurately.
Maintain knowledge of inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing team for stock replenishment.
Develop relationships with contractors, builders, and other customers to drive sales.
Prepare quotes, bids, and invoices for customer purchases.
Stay updated on industry trends, product specifications, and new materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in lumber, construction materials, or retail sales preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry practices is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer requests.
Basic computer skills for processing orders and inventory management.
Ability to lift and move materials as needed (up to 50 lbs).
