PT Congregational Administrator (20 hrs/week)
Anchorage Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (AUUF)
Our Congregational Administrator will be able to switch between tasks easily while providing a welcoming and knowledgeable first contact to our congregation and wider community. They will be able to work independently, with minimal guidance, while considering the congregation’s mission.
Essential Responsibilities:
Practices a culture of hospitality while also maintaining priorities in work week.
Ensures proper financial administration using congregational softwares, making bank deposits, working with the bookkeeper and Board Treasurer.
Organizes, maintains and reports the corporate, financial, personnel, and congregational records.
Works with current and potential renters. Shows the building space, negotiates rental rates, schedules rooms for community renters and members.
Oversees the building and grounds, working with relevant Fellowship committees. Obtain bids for goods and services. Coordinates janitorial, maintenance services, and annual inspections.
Qualifications:
At least three years’ experience in an office environment, including familiarity with basic bookkeeping and money handling. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite.
Experience managing contracts and confidential issues.
Reliable transportation to run some errands for banking and supplies.
High school diploma or equivalent. Preference to those with an associate or bachelor’s degree.
Good communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
Able to pass a background check.

Pay and Benefits:
Able to work 4 of 20 hours per week off site. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave and generous paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Pension employer contributions begin after one year. Hourly pay $26-30 depending on experience.
