Local accounting firm seeking an exceptional Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This is not an entry-level position. The team member in this role will divide their time between firm bookkeeping and administrative assistant projects. This role is responsible for interactions with all staff, including managers and partners. Providing stellar service in a professional manner is of utmost importance. General activities include filing, copying, scanning and project-related assistance.

Duties

High attention to detail

Meet and exceed the expectations of clients and staff

Creating journal entries for all related transactions in accordance with the accrual basis of accounting

Reconcile general ledger accounts

Maintain, update and create spreadsheets in Excel used for reconciliation to general ledger and operational analysis

May include payroll processing, accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivables

Applies analytical skills to accounting data

Exercise a confidential demeanor with respect to all client and employee information

Assembly of tax returns and financial statements

Document creation and formatting

Member of the administration team

Qualifications

4+ years of recent Bookkeeping and Administrative Assistant experience

Intermediate-advanced computer skills including QuickBooks, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Typing of 40+ wpm

Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and over the telephone

Well-organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated

High energy level, enthusiastic, positive outlook, and the ability to multi-task

Stellar attendance and reliability

Salary will be depending on experience. For our full-time staff some of the benefits we offer are PTO starting at three weeks the first year, paid holidays, health insurance, life insurance and long-term disability insurance.

This is an hourly, full-time position with overtime required between mid-February through mid-April and again the first two weeks of September and October.
