Alaska, Anchorage / mat-su, 99501 Anchorage / mat-su USA

Vacancy caducado!

An Administrative Assistant is needed to work closely with lawyer Gwen M. Neal and the office team in a small, busy law office. About half of our practice involves criminal defense, Child-in-Need-of-Aid, and domestic relations cases. The other half includes legal services in areas such as fishing, business transactions, and estate matters. The work, and working with the team, can be interesting and rewarding.

Above all, on our team, we are happy worker bees, heads-down and focused on the job at hand. We’re looking for a person who is career oriented, interested in the work, and willing to work hard and learn. We’ll train, we don’t demand previous law office experience, and we pay well. Trained persons are welcome, though, and may start further up the ladder, given a willingness to learn our processes. The work requires having a calm, confident, friendly, focused demeanor in working with a wide range of individuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are important. Attention to detail is essential. This is a position for an individual who is self-regulated and who likes to work both independently and as an up-beat team player!

Our office tasks are listed below and can be adjusted to align with the position and an individual’s skills. This is a small business and the team pulls together to get done what needs to be done.

● Maintain regular client contact

● Assist in drafting legal documents such as motions, orders, affidavits, subpoenas, and briefs

● Review and organize Discovery

● Research relevant statutes, case law, codes, and other pertinent material

To apply, please sent both an original cover letter telling us why you are applying for this particular job and how you would fit in and be a valuable team member and a resume of experience and history.
