Looking for someone with strong carpentry and/or mechanical skills for summer employment (initially) with possible remote land/homesteading opportunity (depending on commitment). Couples are encouraged to apply.
This summer's work would consist of splitting time working various carpentry and/or mechanical tasks between a single-family home in the Anchorage/Wasilla area (room and board could be included) and a fly in cabin on a remote lake. Could also include the staging of some equipment by barge which would then need to be moved overland in the winter of 2025/2026.
The offer can vary considerably depending on the applicant’s skills and times of availability. They could range from full summer employment with future opportunities to a couple week gig. Could also include a winter/partial winter cabin stay to help in staging equipment for an upcoming larger project.
I am planning an upcoming (summer 2026) large project out at the remote property where the right person could find a great opportunity. Involvement in that project would include considerable land clearing (land has large spruce and birch). Setting up a sawmill, building a covered lumber storage area a hundred other projects.
Please forward a short resume. Detail your level of interest and times of availability. I will contact people who sound like they would fit this project well to discuss more details.
I will be reviewing applicants as long as this ad is posted.
Thanks for your interest.
