Position Summary:
Perform General Carpentry that includes constructing, installing and repairing structures and fixtures of drywall, wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes. Successful candidate will be organized, and reliable in addition to having experience working independently as well as in a team orientated collaborative environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Measuring and laying out ceiling grid
Measuring and laying drywall track/framing
Cutting and hanging drywall
Installing doors, windows, frames and hardware
The ability to pass and maintain a government non-sensitive background and access check
Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as the ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Follow all safety regulations and company safety policies and procedures
Ability to follow and give oral or written instructions
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Must have An Uncompromising Commitment to Safety
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a carpenter.
Prior experience performing the following preferred:
measuring and laying drywall track/framing
cutting and hanging drywall
installing doors, frames and hardware
Valid driver's license preferred
Strong working knowledge of job site safety
OSHA certification is a plus
Work Environment:
Office, Job Trailer, Onsite, outside in all weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
Required to work standing up, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
Speak and listen, both over the phone and in person to customers and co-workers
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to work in a seated position, climb or balance and taste or smell.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 75lbs, and occasionally lift and/or more 75-100lbs.
Vision requirements include: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
