Memory Care Nurse (RN)
Full-time hours with rotational on call 24HR shifts
Annual Salary starting at $75k-$80k Depending on experience

Immediately seeking a Director of Nursing Assistant for an Anchorage assisted living facility.
The Assistant works directly with the Director of nursing to oversee the nursing services department ensuring that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to residents at all times.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to delegate tasks when necessary and appropriate are required as well as the ability to multitask, problem solve/adjust to changes in tasks and prioritize in a timely manner.
Prior management experience, customer service and management experience are preferred.
Job Duties Include:
Oversee day to day operation/care of residents
Supervise caregivers and on-duty supervisors
Quarterly and annual plan reviews for residents
Conduct care conferences with families and relevant outside providers on an annual or as need basis and assist with coordinating outside resources for residents as needed
Serve as a family liaison and advise the Director of Nursing when families have concerns
Complete assessments for prospective residents
Dealing with outside contract resources including pharmacy, primary care providers and hospice organizations.
Facility scheduling
Assist in recruiting, hiring, counseling, evaluating, discipling end terminating nursing services personnel, document and coordinate personnel actions with Director of Nursing or the Administrator.
Review personnel complaints and grievances and ensure all personnel are treated consistent with policies and applicable laws.
Caregiver training/New hire Caregiver training
Assist in developing/monitoring adequate and cost effective inventory control procedures; periodic inspections of supplies and equipment.
Other duties as assigned
This position does include on-call hours taken on a rotating basis.
On-Call Expectations Include:
Must be reachable by 24 hours/day while on call
Triaging resident emergencies, such as falls and change status
Answering medication questions from med techs
Giving approval for PRN medications
Minimum Requirements:
Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license with state of Alaska
Current CPR certification/ability to obtain before start date
Experience caring for patients with dementia
1 year experience in a hospital, assisted living, long-term care or other healthcare related community
