The Forrest Dunbar for Mayor campaign is seeking a full-time Voter Outreach Coordinator to join our team in Anchorage (paid, remote). More information about Forrest and the campaign may be found at www.forrestdunbar.com.
Responsibilities include:
● Volunteer Activity Management: 10-15 hours/week
○ Coordinate weekly phone and text bank shifts and door-to-door information flyering (lit drop) events
○ Ensure volunteer activities are accessible and COVID safe
● Voter Contact: 10-15 hours/week
○ Get Out the Vote (GOTV) through texts, calls, and other direct voter outreach
● Volunteer Communication: 5-10 hours/week
○ Recruit new campaign volunteers
○ Assist Deputy Campaign Manager in providing prompt, informative responses to inquiries and matching volunteers with meaningful opportunities
● Yard Sign Management: 2-5 hours/week
○ Oversee sign construction and delivery volunteers to place signs in supporter yards soon after they are requested
● Data Entry: 2-5 hours/week
○ Ensure accurate voter contact data and manage volunteer data entry in VoteBuilder - NGP VAN
Ideal candidates:
● Are committed to a progressive vision for Anchorage
● Support union values and will be expected to join IUPAT Local 1959
● Possess excellent and professional communication skills
● Are available to work 5-8pm two nights a week and Saturday mornings
● Are familiar with or willing to learn voter contact software (VoteBuilder - NGP VAN)
