Banquet Equipment Coordinator:
Summary of Position:
The BEC provides tables, chairs, staging, podiums, easels, and all details of complete room sets as specified in the Banquet Event Orders (BEOs); ensuring all standards are adhered to in accordance with Banquet Standards Operating Procedures. Assist groups with their in-house Audio and Visual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
o Coordinates with Director of Catering, and Banquet Captain regarding assigned duties
o Coordinates with Clients on-site to ensure they are provided with superior service
o Coordinates with Security department regarding safety and security procedures
o Transports and stores tables, chairs, and other equipment
o Secures banquet rooms, supplies and equipment
o Responsible for cleaning function rooms (vacuuming, wiping down, sanitizing, etc.)
o Responsible for maintaining and organizing all banquet equipment, including tables, chairs, banquet bars, A/V
equipment, etc.
o Maintains a good working relationship with all departments within the hotel
o Maintain constant awareness of safety and accident prevention policies and procedures
o Exhibit good personal hygiene habits
o Physically fit and capable of lifting 50 lbs. and push/pull/move heavy items
o Available and prepared to work scheduled shifts and some irregular hours
o Computer knowledge and being familiar with A/V equipment is desirable
o Other duties as assigned
