Join our team at Joy CDC in Eagle River, AK.

We are seeking to fill the following positions:

Toddler Teacher 19 months -24 months

Preschool Teacher 3-5 years old

Required:

18 years or older

High School diploma or GED

Child Development Associate (CDA) beneficial

References Required

Valid ID

Pass a criminal background check/fingerprinting that meet state and federal laws

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assisting lead teacher with appropriate planning

Models respectful behavior towards all children, staff, and parents or guardians

Maintain areas in center in a safe and attractive manner

Assist children's needs and development

Work with families with building a relationship of respect and cooperation

Ability to work without direct supervision

Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of providers, parents and staff

Willingness and ability to acquire additional training (24 hours every year by municipality of Anchorage rules)

Other duties as assigned

We ask that the applicant is dependable and have experience in childhood development. The applicant also must be able to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis, have the ability to bend, kneel or stoop to assist children. The applicant will also need to be able to interact with the children outside on the playground. We are seeking applicants who have a positive attitude, are energetic, a love for working with children and are content with working in a team environment.

Location: Eagle River, AK

Salary:12-14 hour DOE
