Great Places Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Associate to join our team. As a Childcare Associate, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children in our care. Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Requirements:
-Age 21
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in early childhood development or related field required
-Child Care Associate certification i.e Child Development Associate certification or 12 college credits related to Early childhood education .
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
-3 Professional References
- Previous experience in nannying, childcare, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to provide specialized care for children with special needs or disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Duties:
- Provide attentive and responsible care for children ranging from infants to preschool-aged
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including educational games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
- Follow established routines and schedules to ensure consistency and stability for the children
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment
- Monitor children's behavior and address any behavioral issues using appropriate behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and provide updates on their child's progress
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
