KidZone is one of the oldest running daycare centers and facilities in Wasilla. We are currently looking for three individuals to come work with the awesome children in our community!

Regardless as to what you tell people you do, you have many different titles and will wear many different hats. The most important role is that of safety manager. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all the children in your classroom. Your second most important role is to ensure all the children in your care are appropriately supervised, that does not mean your focus is to babysit, but to know what all the children in your classroom are doing at all times. Once the childrens safety needs and supervision is met, then there is a myriad of responsibilities you are expected to complete.
As a teacher, we want to see children are learning about the world around them. You should plan activities to engage childrens minds and develop their abilities by challenging them. You should execute this plan to ensure every child is given a chance to grow and learn.
As a provider, you are expected ensure the childs basic needs are met, including serving meals according to the CACFP guidelines. You are to ensure they have food, water, and rest when needed.
As a caregiver, you are to love and nurture each individual child as valuable individuals.
Because KidZone does not have a cleaning service, each provider is responsible for completing chores around the facility. You will be asked to sweep, mop, vacuum, wash dishes, and so on. If you are uncomfortable completing these activities, this role may not be for you.
As well as ensuring the childrens safety and supervising them, you should put personal emphasis on working as a team. It is essential that you work as a team player with the management, the other individuals working in your classroom, the parents, and all other individuals you may run across while working at KidZone.
