The retail manager is responsible for facilitating and supervising the daily operations of a fast-paced retail cannabis store by driving sales, maintaining a positive work environment, and making sure staff is working together efficiently. This position works closely with executive management to create and maintain a high-performance retail environment. The person in this role must maintain exceptional customer service and operational performance goals, while fostering a positive culture and work environment.
Required Qualifications:
o Driver’s License and registered vehicle
o Management experience (1 year)
o AMCO Handler’s Permit
o Muni of ANC Food Handler’s Permit
o Open availability/Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Full Job Description:
o Title: Retail Store Manager
o Position Type: Hourly
o Location: Uncle Herb’s Boniface
o Reports to GM and Operations Manager
o Supervises shift leads, budtenders, inventory and production personnel
Responsibilities:
o Maintain store compliance with all local and state regulation
o Maintain a high standard of customer service through hands-on training and engagement with retail staff
o Hiring, training, scheduling and staffing of all retail employees
o Timesheet and payroll review
o Mediate customer disputes or requests when necessary
o Daily sales reporting and bank reconciliation
o Safe management
o Payment preparation for incoming deliveries
o Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
o Assist in receiving and ensuring that all wholesale deliveries are compliant, accurate and accounted for
o Track employee activity to ensure optimal performance and hold regularly scheduled team meetings to address topics at hand, and changes or communication and maintain team morale
o Must be accessible and extremely responsive to all team member’s questions, suggestions, and concerns and help resolve any team member conflicts and notify senior management when appropriate
o Motivate, inspire and coach team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable and productive
o Conduct semi-annual staff evaluations
o Manage and maintain POS, store hardware devices, printers, ATM, etc.
o Analyze sales reports and communicate with the team to identify sales trends and potential inventory requirements
o Other duties as assigned
