Self-Storage rental clerk job opening-

One of Anchorage's oldest self-storage companies has an immediate opening for a rental clerk at its Lake Otis and Dowling road location. This position is part or full-time and pays $20.00 per hour to start. Pay will increase with proficiency . You will start accruing vacation and personal time 90 days after employment. Ideal for retires.
The clerk is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the storage facility. This includes the opening on time(9am), rental/sales of storage units, customer service, answering the phone professionally, accounts receivable, calling delinquent customers, marketing, some light maintenance, sweeping out storage units, upkeep of the facility, and most importantly being a honest, reliable, on time team player.
Qualifications of the candidate include but are not limited to:
? Working weekends is required. Some adjustment possible.
? Multi-tasking and managing your day-to-day responsibilities independently or with little supervision.
? Computer skills with Microsoft Office Programs. (we train you)
? Ability to travel to the bank and post office with a valid drivers license and insurance are desired.
? You will be required to work outside in inclement weather to maintain the integrity of the facility. Sweeping snow from steps, trash pick-up, sweeping out storage units, weekly lock check, replacing light bulbs, over locking delinquent tenants, etc.
? The handling of cash payments, credit card payments, and using auto pay. This is part of your training.
? Physical activity will be required to maintain the facility. . Possible lifting of 20lbs. (wood pallet)
? Accurate computer filing and record keeping with neat readable handwriting are required.
? Job requires a neat appearance and dress is work casual a company uniform is provided.
Our company is looking to grow in the future and we want this candidate to grow with us. Our hope is that this individual will be able to manage a self-storage facility for us in the future.
