Spenard Builders Supply is Alaska's choice for building materials and home improvements. Statewide, we service the needs of a variety of customers including residential and commercial builders, specialty contractors, government and other institutions, and especially do-it-yourselfers. Today, Spenard Builders Supply is owned by Builders FirstSource, the largest supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services to the residential construction market in the U.S.

Performs a variety of complex administrative duties and directly manages a team of up to 18 employees. Looking for candidate who can multi-task, resolve conflicts, high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prioritize and strong supervisory skills.

Responsible to:

Perform initial interview and recommend new hires

Coach, build and cross train the team

Become a ‘go to’ person for all office tasks for entire location

Build relationships with corporate contacts such as AP, HR, etc.

Perform random audits to insure processes are accurate and efficient

Be able to perform duties when short staffed

Supervise and approve work of the team whose duties include:

Balance daily cash work

Perform daily invoicing & returns

Submit documentation to set up new vendors

Maintains office supply inventory & orders replacement equipment

Account receivable job set up

Taking customer payment

Front Desk reception

Onboarding of new hires

Processing of payroll

Maintaining driver files

Maintaining employee files and job postings

Updating safety training files

Maintaining pricing files

Processing of vendor invoices

Processing of freight invoices

Processing of inventory management

Hours (Salary position. Schedule is typically Monday – Friday 8:00-5:00 but there is some month end and annual inventory duties that may require some weekend hours).

Ideal candidate would be interested in career progression including location management.
