First National Bank Alaska, FNBA, is seeking a Branch Support Rep. The Branch Support Rep is responsible supporting the Teller and New Accounts Units at various branches ensuring compliance with established bank procedures and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides excellent service to branch customers; processes customers' transactions, operates Teller Machines, and balances cash drawer.

2. Opens new accounts, and explains, promotes, and sells bank services; promotes and cross sells other services referring customers to appropriate areas of the bank for additional expertise. May close accounts upon customer's request or as directed by supervisor.

3. Responds to customer requests, prepares customer correspondence, maintains files, researches and processes returned mail, and analyzes atypical transactions.

4. Balances ATM's and processes outgoing wire transfer requests. Prepares demand deposit, savings, and general ledger account transactions and processes incoming and outgoing collections, telephone transfers, and requests for transfers between accounts.

5. Assists customers with account reconciliation. May accept and process stop payments and lost/stolen item requests on checking and saving accounts. May perform vault teller reserve cash duties and grant customers access to safe deposit boxes.

6. May act as a resource for, including train, less experienced tellers and customer service representatives.

7. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: Eighteen months banking experience including six months Teller experience; or two years customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.

Preferred: Familiarity with FNBA products and procedures; sales experience.
