Main duties: Process stock, unload, move and store a variety of material, parts or products. Check identifications, quantities, report shortages and demand goods, ensure first in/first out inventory rotation. Move materials between departments, fill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock. Process stock tickets and operate various fork lifts and pallet jacks
Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures
Maintain traceability and identification of product
Strong verbal and written communication
Proficient in all types of scales used in facility within 30 days of hire
Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days
Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills.
Utilize Lean tools and be active particpant in Lean events and High Performance Teams
Participate in 5S activities per Manager request.
Train, Perform or Backup in Receiving or Shipping or Cycle Count (but only one of the three);
Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment
Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends
Other assignments as assigned by Management
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand and walk the majority of the shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse, receiving or shipping environment, perferred
Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English
Math Skills: Medium math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiple, divide, convert fractions to decimals, ability to follow formulas for conversions (ex: SF to LF)
