POSITION SUMMARY:
The Area Manager Mid-South is responsible for managing and developing sales of the Tampico Brand within the assigned region. This role will manage direct retail customer relationships while increasing sales and distribution with designated independent and chain retail groups & stores. This position ensures that Tampico’s family of products adheres to Tampico’s merchandising and customer service standards in existing accounts as selling in new distribution to non-buying accounts. The Area Manager will work closely with the Region Manager on the implementation of full year strategic sales and executional plans across all sales channels for the Mid-South market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate yearlong growth plans aimed at increasing sales & distribution at assigned major retailers
Responsible for increasing flavor gallon distribution and selling in alternative packages to the assigned retail locations
Selling displays, merchandising product, building racks, new SKUs & packages to current customers at retail and chain level
Partner with distributor/retailer sales personnel to monitor retail activity and facilitate selling process at key retailers
Call on key Re-Distributors & retail groups to gain support and drive sales plans at retail level
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of sales experience in CPG with Retail Merchandising and beverage experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business
Ability to multitask handling multiple customer accounts
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and create and conduct sales presentations
Ability to travel up to 25%
Must reside in Montgomery, AL, Mobile, AL or Pensacola, FL
