Piper Companies is seeking an Entry Level IT Engineer to join a new project located in Montgomery, AL. The Entry Level IT Engineer will be responsible for supporting proposal managers and business development activities with technical advice/inputs on computer hardware, software, and networking tools.
Responsibilities of the Entry Level IT Engineer include:- Review customer requirements and provide technical input to those requirements in a written proposal to help decide on the best use of new technologies for clients/customers
- Provide support for business development activities
- Meet with current and potential customers to understand their requirements and translate those notes to the team
- Writing technical documents covering agile development (Java, .Net, etc.), test, and installation, configuration and computer hardware and software solutions working with senior engineers
- 0-1+ year of experience in IT
- Knowledgeable with modern computer languages, software architecture, and agile development
- Knowledgeable with cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data architecture and machine learning
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Salary: $50,000-$60,000
