The Storekeeper orders, receives, inspects, and delivers incoming materials and equipment to departments that support care to all patients.Requires minimal supervision to perform all essential functions.
Utilizes proper body mechanics when:
Lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, which is a required essential function.
Moving supply carts weighing up to 500 pounds, which is a required essential function.
Reports broken or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or department head.
Verifies accuracy of shipments including biohazard, radioactive substances by count, size, description and manufacturers’ catalog number with information on invoice.
Inspects items for damage or defects and records information on freight bill or packing slip.
Returns incorrect items and equipment for repair with appropriate paperwork.
Pulls and delivers supplies and equipment to departments.
Loads and unloads shipments received.
Serves as a resource person to location for supplies.
Reviews supply usage and reports needed adjustment to Supervisor.
Prepares outgoing shipments ensuring the most economical shipping service level is used
Assists AHS staff with shipping questions and distribution issues
Maintains accurate and complete records byDocumenting on the packing sheet date of receiving.
Documenting quantities received and any shipment issues.
Obtaining appropriate signature of the department receiving the items.
Maintaining packing slips in an orderly manner.
Scanning packing slips and attaching Premier.

Receives and respond to inquiries of accounting matters promptly and courteously.
Performs financial analysis as needed.
Assists with performance of duties of other accounting staff in periods of absence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent.
